Lot 43 An American P1914 bayonet, with makers mark for Remington and 1917 date at the ricasso. Wooden slab grips with usual double grooves to each side. Blued pommel, cross guard and ricasso area. Single edged blade with fuller to both sides. Black leather scabbards with steel throat and chape, the throat stamped RE. Approximately 57.5cm when in scabbard. Condition: generally very good. Much of the blueing still present to the hilt. Service wear to the scabbard, with crease to the leather part.
