Notes: William McDonald was born in Liverpool, Lancashire in circa 1873. He enlisted for service with the 1st Battalion Duke of Wellington’s West Riding Regiment in 1892. All 4 of the clasps on his medal are confirmed on the appropriate roll, and additionally he is entitled to the King’s South Africa Me
