Lot 49 A U.S. Army Airforce sterling silver bombardier’s badge. A heavy gauge die struck example, with separately applied bomb motif to the centre. Round hinge and rollover type clasp to the reverse, along with an impressed ‘Sterling’ mark, and the shield makers mark for Meyer. Approximately 7.6cm / 3 inches width. Condition: very good. Bright and clean finish to the front side, and an oxidised / tarnished finish to the reverse. Both the pin and clasp work as they should.
