Lot 146A of 739: Medieval Face Mount.  Circa 13th-14th century AD. Copper-alloy, 3.54 grams. 18.43 mm. A stunning piece of medieval sculpture depicting a male bust wearing a head covering. A possible representation Saint Benedict of the highest quality made in heavily tinned or silver plated bronze. It is unclear from the reverse of the piece exactly what it was part of, the only clue is a semi-circular opening at the top and bottom that suggests it had a shaft running through it to attach it to a lower section
