Lot 24 of 739: Roman Silver Implement.  Circa 3rd-4th century AD. Silver, 1.77 grams. 45.79 mm. A silver socketed implement or tooth pick of great quality. The narrow tampering shaft is decorated with a series of fine lines around the base, on each side a small rivet hole. Tapering along its length the shaft terminates with a series of decorative grooves cut to form a beaded pattern, above is the pick or hook. Bent over at the tip with surface cracking but complete.
