Lot 34 of 739: Roman Statuette Arm.  Circa 1st-4th century AD. Copper-alloy, 25.41 grams. 44.67 mm. A bronze arm from a Roman statuette, most likely of Mercury who is often depicted with draped arms. Broken or cut away from just below the elbow the arm is shown with a robe or cloth draped over it.  Ref: A similar, though cruder, example from Romano-British shrine at West Hill, Uley, Gloucestershire is now in the collections of the British Museum (1978,0102.20; Woodward & Leach 1993, fig.85.4).
