Lot 52 of 739: Roman Brooch. Circa, 2nd century AD. Copper-alloy, 6.00 grams. 39.64 mm. A Roman plate brooch with lozenge-shaped body and zoomorphic terminal. The body is divided in to two triangular panels by a central groove that runs from the spring bar to the collar of the terminal at the catch plate end, each panel has four triangular cells filled with blue and red enamel.
