Lot 68 of 739: Anglo-Scandinavian Stirrup Mount.  Circa 11th century AD. Copper-alloy, 18.56 grams. 44.93 mm. An Anglo-Scandinavian diamond shape openwork stirrup mount. Lozenge-shaped body  with openwork sub-circular holes at each internal angle. Raised boss projecting at each junction of the lattice giving seven bosses in total. Punched lines between the bosses and around the apex loop. Ref: Williams, Class A. type.12. From an old English collection.
