Lot 82 of 739: Anglo-Saxon Key. Circa 6th-8th century AD. Copper-alloy, 3.18 grams. 30.16 mm. A small Saxon key with large loop thats worn very thin from being suspended on a chain. One side of the loop is detailed with punched dots and a single dot on the other side, a short shaft joins the loop to the key bit which is plain. Ref: British Artefacts, fig. 1.15a. Found Kent, recorded on the PAS database as: KENT-7614A5.
