Lot 86 of 739: Saxon Terminal.  Circa, 7th century. Copper-alloy, 3.77 grams. 35.14 mm. An Anglo-Saxon terminal formed of a circular panel with a rectangular projection on one side. The face of the piece is decorated with four roundels between a rhythmic interlace pattern of insular style, forming a Celtic cross with trefoil terminals on each arm. This design resembles those seen on Silver sceattas of the same period. Ref: Tony Abramson, Sceattas List. 27-31, page 134. From an old English collection.
