Lot 97 of 739: Anglo-Saxon Pendant. Circa 6th - 7th century AD. Copper-alloy, 19.98 mm. A small spacer pendant formed of a simple loop with a round domed stud riveted to the face. The stud is detailed with continuous bands of punched dots and a faceted skirt around its base. Traces of gilding are still visible on the reverse. Very similar in style to the gold examples seen during this period. Ref: for similar style see. Webster and Backhouse 1991, p. 28. Found Suffolk.
