Lot 98 of 739: Anglo-Saxon Spear Head.  Circa, 6th century AD. Iron, 203 mm. An Anglo Saxon leaf-shaped iron spear head with a raised midrib that forms a flatten diamond shape in cross section. The blade point is rounded and at the other end a long socket for receiving the spear shaft. Ref: 'A Corpus of Anglo-Saxon Spear-Types' by M J Swanton, BAR 7 1974. Found Suffolk.
