Lot 107 of 739: Post Medieval Seal Top Spoon. Circa 16th century AD. Copper-alloy, 168 x 49 mm. A complete silver or tin plated bronze spoon that has survived in remarkable good condition. Formed of a large oval bowl and long faceted tapering handle that terminates in a very ornate baluster type seal knop. The bowl has a makers mark in the form of a flower head within a circle stamped just below the join where the bowl meets the handle. Ref: Homer 1975, p. 38.
