Lot 131 of 739: Medieval Heraldic Pendant. Circa 14th century. Copper-alloy, 13.62 grams, 46.51 mm. A shield-shaped medieval heraldic pendant displaying three lions, the arms of England on a field of red enamel. The style of the lions suggests these are the arms of England from the reign of Edward II or Edward III. Complete with suspension loop. Ref: for similar pendants see: Mitchiner, p. 136-137. Property of an Essex based collector.
