Lot 242 of 739: Carausius Silver Denarius. AD 286-293. Silver, 19.45 mm. 4.11 grams. Obverse: Radiate and draped bust right, IMP C CARAVSIVS P F AV. Reverse: FORTVNA AVG, Fortuna seated left on wheel, holding rudder and cornucopiae. RSR in ex. London, AD 286-7. Ref: RIC v, ii, p 511. RSC 66. RCV 13518. Crack on either side but stable. Rare.
