Kington, Leominster & Stourport Canal Map and Description - Framed and Glazed A framed map highlighting the route of the Kington, Leominster & Stourport canal's route along with elevations of its significant structures and heritage assets. This map was produced in 1970 by the Railway and Canal Society. It measures 77 X 40 cms and is in reasonable condition for its age. As an extra note, this canal was intended to link Kington in Herefordshire with Stourport in Worcestershire (via Leominster) but the whole project became a complete commercial disaster and only 18.5 of the 46 proposed miles were ever completed. It never reached Kington or Stourport and didn't pay its shareholders a single penny!
