Original painting by Steve Owen: The Kingfisher This year, more than ever, we have been taking pleasure in spending time in nature. This original painting from artist, Steve Owen, was inspired by time spent along the waterways during the first lockdown. It was originally posted in The Self-Isolating Bird Club Facebook group, which was set up by Chris Packham and celebrates all aspects of nature but in particular the many different species of birds that can be seen in the UK. The painting, which depicts a Kingfisher in flight, was painted on canvas-textured paper using acrylic paint and measures 455 x 330mm (approx. A3).
