Caldon Canal Historic Experience and 2 night stay We are all desperate to get away, and where better than a 2-night mini break in the Staffordshire Moorlands in a converted stable (which once housed the last boat horse working on the Caldon Canal)? The mini-break is in a self-contained self-catering cottage (with local produce provided for you to cook your own breakfasts).  The property overlooks the Caldon Canal and has one bedroom (with a double bed, a single bed and cot if required), a modern shower room, and a fully equipped open plan kitchen and lounge.  On the edge of the Peak District, this is a great base for exploring the local area, with the market town of Leek just 3 miles away. Ideal for anyone interested in railways, canals and the countryside. Canalside pub 5 minutes walk across the field. No restrictions on when the 2 nights need to be booked for or by, but obviously subject to Covid restrictions allowing travel and overnight stays. There is an option of one or two half day personalised guided walks by the owners of the cottage to learn about the history of the Caldon Canal.
