Lot 44 of 442: Anglo-Saxon Brooch.  Copper-alloy, 8.58 grams. 56.16 mm. Circa 5th century AD. A bow brooch with triangular head plate, flat at its apex and with a rounded terminal at each corner. The foot plate is plain and an almost perfect triangle in shape. On the back there is traces of the original iron pin assembly. A migration period piece of Visigothic manufacture. Found Kent. Accompanied by an old dealers ticket. Property of an English collector.
