Lot 4 of 381: An uninscribed 'British LB' gold stater of the North Thames Region/Catavellaunii, probably dating c. 60-20 BC. Rudd’s ‘Whaddon Chase Big Wheel’ type. Obverse: opposed crescents on wreath, ‘clock’, ‘wing’ and figure-of-eight patterns in angles. Reverse: horse prancing right, ‘wing’ motif above back, wheel between legs. ABC 2442, BMC 331. Nearly Very Fine, obverse weakly struck, flan slightly mis-struck. Weight: 5.66g. Provenance: found Dinton, Buckinghamshire, 2017. Treasure reference 2017T828.
