Lot 75 of 381: A copper-alloy sestertius struck for Marcus Aurelius as Augustus (AD 161-180) dating to c. AD 168-169. Reverse: FORT RED TR POT XX III IMP V COS III S-C, Fortuna seated left holding rudder and cornucopia. Mint of Rome. RIC vol. III, p. 290, no. 962. Nearly Very Fine, with a slightly coppery patina. Diameter: 31.9mm. Weight: 25.95g. Provenance: found Thatcham, Berkshire, 2012. Recorded on the PAS as BH-A7E374.
