Lot 80 of 381: A silver denarius of Antoninus Pius (AD 138-161) with Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, dating to c. AD 140. Reverse: AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII F COS, bare head of Aurelius right. Mint of Rome. RIC. vol. III, p. 78, no. 417a. Nearly Very Fine, surfaces rough in some places and a few edge knocks to flan.  Weight: 2.5g.  Provenance: from the collection of a metal detectorist.
