Lot 105 of 381: A lot of six 13th century English hammered pence (5) and a continental 'crockard (1). Of the English pence, represented are Edward I (1272-1307) class 9b2, Edward I/II class 10cf (2), Edward II (1307-1327) class 11b and an Edward III (1327-1377) penny of the third 'Florin' coinage. All the latter struck at London. The 'crockard' is an issue of either John I or II (1264-1312), Dukes of Brabant and Limburg. Provenance: from the collection of a metal detectorist.
