Lot 174 of 381: Five Post-Medieval silver hammered coins. Henry VIII (1), incomplete base silver halfgroat of the third coinage, mint of Canterbury. Poor, rather corroded.  Elizabeth I (4), three halfgroats with the hand, key and 'A' initial marks from the Tower mint, as well as a threepence with the plain cross initial mark, dated 1578. Fine to Nearly Very Fine. Provenance: from the collection of a metal detectorist.
