Lot 289 of 381: A gold and gem stirrup type ring dating to the Medieval period, c. 1200-1300. The ring demonstrates a circular hoop that expands towards a pointed bezel, the shoulders both decorated with three adjacent vegetal motifs probably intended to represent a vine and grapes. Above this, the bezel (showing traces of bevelling on its underside) has been set with a small oval cabochon gem or glass setting. Weight: 1.49g.
