Lot 63 of 1846: Roman Bronze Mount Fragment.  Circa, 1st - 4th century AD. Copper-alloy, 32.68 g, 59.49 mm. A large cast bronze mount depicting a naked male figure wrestling a lion. Most likely a depiction of Hercules. The piece is curved on the reverse and was most likely part of, or mounted a large bronze vessel. From an old English collection.
