A beautiful piece of Anglo-Saxon treasure in the form a gold terminal from an aestal or composite pin. The terminal comprises a hollow, spherical head attached to a hollow neck, both made from thin gold sheet. The sphere is decorated with filigree designs made from gold beaded wire.
