Lot 1005 of 217: Continental Iron Age, an uninscribed Gallo-Belgic gold quarter stater attributed to the Morini, dating c. 80-60 BC. Rudd's 'Boat Tree' type. Obverse: no inscription, sometimes described as three figures in a boat. Reverse: no inscription, tree-like object, lines to left and right. About Fine, obverse slightly weak. Diameter: 10mm. Weight: 1.5g. ABC 40.  Provenance: from an English collection.
