Lot 1016 of 217: Roman, a copper-alloy radiate struck for the Britannic Emperor Carausius (AD 286-293) dating to c. AD 286-293. Obverse: IMP CARAVSIVS PF AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Reverse: PM TR P COS, Roma seated left on shield holding spear and Palladium. No mintmark. Very Fine,  pleasing brownish patina with some deposits. Diameter: 23mm. Weight: 3.8g. Unpublished, unique. Discussion: this coin is a unique variant on the very rare reverse series issued by Carausius, usually inscribed PM
