Lot 1054 of 217: Anglo-Saxon, an anonymous silver sceatta of the Primary Phase series Biiia, dating to c. AD 700-710. Obverse: no inscription, diademed head right with cross formed of four pellets in front. Reverse: blundered legend-[...]VCOV.[...], bird on cross right, annulet and triad of pellets in front, the latter within an inner pelleted border. Very Fine, off-struck. Scarce. Abramson (2006), fig.
