Lot 1182 of 217: Post-Medieval, a gold finger ring of the 'posy' type probably dating to the earlier 18th century (c. 1700-1750). The ring consists a rather wide 'D' sectioned hoop with some wear to the outer surface, the inner demonstrating the following italicised inscription: A mind content cannot repent. Neither hallmarks nor maker's marks are present. External diameter: c. 19.5mm. Thickness of hoop: c. 1.25mm.
