Lot 87 of 199: An German M1852  pipe back cavalry sword. Steel guard with quillon, steel backpiece and pommel. Integral finger loop attached to the grip. Fish skin grip with twisted wire binding. Slightly curved single edged blade with pipe back. The blade is marked WK&Cie at the ricasso. Approximately 94.5cm length, blade length 80.5cm. Condition: solid condition, with service wear. Darkening to the steel guard, and a mottled patina. Service wear to fish skin grip, but it appears to be mostly intact.
