Lot 103 of 390: A 19th century cavalry sabre, likely French in origin. Brass 3 bar guard, with brass quillon, backpiece, and lions head pommel. Leather bound grip with twisted wire bindings, plus navette shaped langets to both sides. Curved single edged blade with false edge towards the tip, a flat spine, and shallow single fuller. Approximately 100cm total length - blade length 86cm. Condition: generally good, with some service wear. Some light knock and darkening to the brass on the hilt. Leather bound
