Lot 17 of 263: Incomplete late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy 'fob' or dangler, a disc sporting an openwork spinning triskele motif, with four round cells, now empty of inlay, at the end of each arm and at the centre. In the centre of the reverse there is the gently tapering stump of an integral, round-sectioned shank (ancient break). Diameter 36mm. Thickness (excluding shank) 4mm. Diameter of shank 7.1mm. Weight 19.5g. 1st century BC - late 1st century AD.
