Lot 50 of 227: A scarce WW1 era, Royal Flying Corps silver and enamel sweetheart badge or brooch. Featuring what appears to be the 1912 Blackburn Type D monoplane, with a small RFC badge affixed to the fuselage. The badge is simply marked ‘Sterling’ to the reverse, with the makers mark of ‘TLM’ for Thomas Lyster Mott, a well known Birmingham badge and pendant maker.
