Lot 3 of 597: Bronze Age Bronze Spear Head, Circa 950-800 BC. A very good example of a Late Bronze Age socketed spear head with dark even patination.  The spearhead has a slender leaf-shaped blade, the edges of which are bevelled and still sharp. The shaft tapers through the length of the spearhead to the point from the base with the socket itself being at least half the depth of the entire shaft. A single hole in the side of the shaft for fixing via a peg rather than the loops seen on earlier examples. Size
