Lot 14 of 597: Roman, a complete copper-alloy phallic pendant or fascinus dating c. AD 43-410. The pendant takes the form of an erect, exaggerated phallus, demonstrating a bulbous head, curved shaft and rounded knops representing the testicles. At the base of the shaft is an integral, curving suspension loop. Size: 35mm.  Discussion: a number of these pendants have now been discovered in Britain.
