Lot 23 of 597: A Large Impressive Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy strap-end, Circa 9th century. A large example with convex sides tampering to a zoomorphic terminal at one end, the open end is curved with a central notch dividing two fixing holes with one silver rivet intact. The animal headed terminal has well defined eyes, snout and ears unlike some of the more stylised examples.
