Lot 42 of 597: Viking Silver Trade Currency Bar Silver Currency bar, Circa 9th-10th century. A cast and hammered sub-rectangular silver Viking trade ingot. The surface displays signs of hammering but also various punched annulets, weather intentional decoration or the result of an impression mark in the face of the iron hammer its difficult to determine. Usually seen as cut fragments known as hack this piece is a rare complete example. Size: 84.91 mm, Weight: 22.50 grams. Reference: J. Graham-Campbell, 2011
