Lot 68 of 597: 17th Century Gold Mourning Ring A gold inscribed mourning ring, Circa 1690. A band of high gold content engraved with a stylised skull across the width of the band. The inside is engraved: 'J. G. OB 3 AUG 90'  with the makers mark W. The meaning of the abbreviated inscription gives the initials of the departed J.G and the date they passed, 3rd August 1690.
