Lot 84 of 597: Medieval Pilgrim's Pewter Whistle A scarce and intact Pilgrim's piece, Circa 16th century AD. A pewter whistle comprising of a tubular shank with D-shape hole at the base. The bulb with circumferential rib has a a vent at the rear and intact suspension loop. The upper section of the bulb is decorated in foliate type scrolls. Size: 36.08 mm, Weight: 5.66 grams. Ex A. Smith, Found on the Thames foreshore.
