YORKSHIRE CRICKET CLUB JUMPER - BELONGED TO THE LATE PHILIP SHARPE

Opening bat with Geoff Boycott for Yorkshire and England. And first class slip fielder.  Jumper ( size 42) worn during the 1969 cricket season, when playing in the final of the Gillette Cup and in the England v West Indies Test Series.Together with photographs of that season’s matches.

CRICKET AT LORD’S:  M.C.C.  v  Yorkshire, second day. Yorkshire’s first innings.  Photo shows P.J. Sharpe (York’s)  cuts P.T. Peacock (Surrey) past D.E. Amiss at slip for 2 runs(Wicketkeeper is R.W. Taylor (Derbyshire) with C. Milburn at leg slip) making Sharpe 97.  28/4/69
