Dad loved his clocks! He had a ritual of going around the house winding them all up and he loved it when the chimes all went off together! It could last a while, as they were old clocks and not particularly well synchronised. Dad would often have one of his pocket watches on his person and frequently wore waistcoats to accommodate a watch. He took a real pleasure from sitting in the front room with a watch opened up in his hand, just observing the amazing mechanics moving in the palm of his hand
