194 A circular lead matrix seal with a 8 pointed star pattern in the centre. Inscribed around the outer border is what appears to read +S’ IOH ‘D’ WILEBI (seal of John of WILBY) This seal was found by a metal detector around the Suffolk area and this may link in with a John Wilbye (baptized 7 March 1574 – September 1638) who was an English madrigal composer. The son of a tanner, he was born at Brome, Suffolk, England. (Brome is near Diss.) Wilbye was employed for decades at Hengrave Hall, near Bury 45 £50 - £70

198 Lot consisting  of a medieval candlestick and a holder. Incomplete medieval to post-medieval copper alloy candlestick of bunsen type, base missing. The socket is decorated with two single circumferential grooves and one pair of the same at mid-point. On the stem there is a sharp knop half-way up flanked by a very slight rib near the top and the base. The latter flares out slightly (cf.
