Lot 22 A 19th century Italian M1870 1st pattern Vetterli bayonet, with associated scabbard and leather frog. Wooden slab grips, with steel pommel, cross guard and quillon. Single edged blade with fuller to both sides, marked ‘RS’ and ‘Terni’ at the ricasso. The cross guard is marked KU9648, and ‘CN’ to the other side. Leather scabbard with steel throat and chape, plus leather frog. The frog is marked ‘BAG’ and is indistinctly marked 1915. Approximately 53.5cm length including frog. Blade length
