Lot 300 of 381: A complete gold finger ring of the 'Posy' type dating to the Post-Medieval period, probably later 17th or early 18th century. The ring is of high carat gold, consisting a circular 'D' sectioned hoop that is plain on its outer surface. The interior of the hoop demonstrates the following inscription: FOR VERTUES' SAKE MY WIFE I TAKE. This is followed by the makers' mark, the initials 'I B' within a rectangular cartouche.
