Lot 1000 of 217: British Late Iron Age, an inscribed silver unit of the Southern Region/Atrebates and Regni, struck under Epaticcus (c. AD 20-40) and dating c. AD 20-40. Rudd's 'Epaticcus Eagle' type. Obverse: inscription EPATI before male head right. Reverse: no legend, Eagle displayed with head left-standing on snake, pellet-in-ring motif to right of head. About Very Fine. Reverse nicely centred. Diameter: 11.5mm. Weight: 1.26g. ABC 1346, BMC 2024-2268 Provenance: from the collection of a metal detectorist.
