Polished wooden shaft with flared and shaped end.
Hand forged diamond section blade, with raised median ridge to both sides.
The blade is secured to the shaft with what appears to be a woven hide, with this also being secured by woven metal bindings to the top and bottom.
There is a letter P scratched into the wood near the end of the shaft.
Approximately 130cm overall length, blade length 22.8cm.

Hand forged metal blade of flattened diamond form, with raised median ridge to each side.
The blade is attached to the shaft by means of a strip of hide that has been crudely stitched into place.
The hide wrap is in turn secured by twisted wire bindings to the top and bottom of the hide section.
Approximately 121cm overall length, blade length 26.8cm.

Open single bar steel guard, with curled quillon, backpiece and pommel.
Leather contoured grip, which likely would have had wire binding when first made.
Curved single edged blade, with flat spine and single fuller.
Complete with steel scabbard, with 2 suspension rings.
The blade carries both German / Prussian issue marks for 1850, plus British inspection marks, indicating it was inspected in Liege.
